Gwen has two-thirds-Malaysian taste buds so her food recommendations are reliable when we're in Singapore (phew!).
Before making our way to Marina Bay Sands for PTX's concert (as mentioned here), Gwen brought us for dinner at Just Acia, dhoby exchange.
It's actually located at Dhoby Ghaut station and is a semi-fast food chain which you can find nationwide.
Sets go at about 10 SGD each with self-service refillable drinks and ice cream. Fountain drinks include Lipton's Ice Tea (Lemon/Peach) range as well coffee-machine made coffee (lattes, cappuccinos etc)
I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken with Aglio Olio spaghetti. The portion was just right. The spaghetti was cooked well and the chicken tasted decent. Nothing was particularly wrong with the dish.
Two sets of Teriyaki Chicken bento was ordered because Teriyaki Chicken is safe (apparently).
The sets come with rice, a side of kimchi, miso soup and a main dish.
Jas ordered a Fried Chicken set which was decent with some chilli/tomato sauce.
We had scoops of Green Tea, Yam and Mocha chip ice cream and they were all of pretty good quality. Better than those served at buffets back home.
The soft serve Chocolate ice cream was not as great though. There was a strange taste to it.
Dollar for dollar, the meal was very worth it with the refillable drinks and ice-cream.
Portions were decent, the place was clean and service was quite fast. I would know to look out for this place in future when I'm in Singapore.
Thanks Gwen!
