If you've noticed a new menu on the sidebar, it's because Deliciouslogy is now on Instagram! Since there's too much food in Malaysia to cover and review them all, click here to access the page or click the Instagram logo on the side bar for more mouthwatering food photos and instant reviews!
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here's a post on Mr Dakgalbi.
There are 2 things that Chuncheon is exceptionally famous for: Winter Sonata and Dakgalbi. So when in Korea, do as the Koreans do, visit Nami Island and have dakgalbi.
It was very unfortunate that Pauline was not able to find the previous dakgalbi shop she ate. The building where the restaurant was located is now an empty shell of a building. Dejected, we went to Mr Dakgalbi instead. It was rather quiet, there were only 3 tables occupied at the time.
Little did we know, it was because the dakgalbi here isn't that great. The chicken and tteokboki was well cooked but the gochujang mixture was not as flavorful as I expected. I felt that Uncle Jang's dakgalbi back in KL was better. Ironic, isn't it?
The Chuncheon specialty, makguksu is a cold buckwheat noodle which had a nice earthy taste. The noodles were springy and chewy. If you like cold noodles, this is a must try.
We ordered a portion of fried rice when we were 90% done with the dakgalbi. Mr Dakgalbi's version gives you rice with seaweed and bean sprouts as well as additional sauce.
It was a nice mixture, tastier than the dakgalbi itself.
Mr Dakgalbi probably isn't the best dakgalbi place at the dock. This is probably the first time I'd say, follow herd instinct and look for a dakgalbi shop with the herd.
