Uncle Don's ~ SS2

Our meal decisions change quite quickly from one traffic light to another and even though LC had eaten at Uncle Don's the day before, we were back the next day for lunch.

A mix of western and local cuisine - Uncle Don's menu can be found on their website. A lunch set menu is available where you get an iced lemon tea and a scoop of ice-cream with your main course of choice. The lunch set menu is available on Zomato - the menu images with a black background.

Pork Chop (RM12.80 for lunch set, usually RM11.40)
Flavorful and well-cooked, the lovely sear added nice smokiness to the meat. My only gripe was that it was not evenly seasoned - some parts of the meat was saltier than the other. The portion is decent - the meat may look thin but there's a lot to it.
Spaghetti Carbonara (RM12.80 for lunch set, usually RM11.40)
Creamy carbonara with just enough cheese and cream goes well with thin strips of pork chop. Could get jelat quickly!

Spicy Bacon Pizza (RM15.40)
The star of the day is this thin-crusted pizza with a crunchy crust and was loaded with toppings right to the edge. There's mushrooms, bell peppers, pineapple, bacon, jalapeno peppers and onions on the pizza with a spicy tangy tomato sauce. No additional condiments required. The pizza was good on its own.

Delicious food at really good prices - where else can you get a good pork chop for RM11.40 these days? No wonder they're always full!
