We found ourselves looking for dinner after a late movie one day and discovered that Spade's Burger had opened in Damansara Uptown. I've only ever seen them in SS15 (are they still there?) so the opportunity has never risen to try a burger with the abundance of choices in Subang.
Their menu is extensive with pork, chicken, beef with 1 fish and 1 vegetarian option. If those choices aren't enough, build your own burger instead.
Pork nuggets, a sinful bacon salad and salted egg fish skin are part of the sides you could combo with to make a full meal instead of the usual fries. The other sides are pretty porky too making the fries and mushroom wedges seem like the odd one out.
The Dark Knight was first and foremost a feast for the eyes with that add on fried egg looking like a lovely ratio of bun to meat to vegetables. The pork patty was very well done - it was moist and not the slightest bit gamey.
Salted egg fish skin as a side is not bad though I'm more a 'fries with a burger' kind.
The Orgashroom is the very first mushroom burger where I had no complaints on the mushroom amount but is slightly dry along the edges. Once again, a good ratio of bun to fillings and the bun is nice, soft and soaks up the sauce nicely.
I really liked the thick cut, skin-on fries at Spade's and the 2 types of sauce provided. The darker colored mayo-based sauce was spicier and was a good match for the fries. If the kitchen was closing, I would've asked for more sauce. It was really good!
Good non-halal burgers at a decent price, opened till 11 pm. Perhaps a Orgashroom pork burger next time?
