Replacing my favorite Japanese hotpot in Damansara Uptown is another Japanese hotpot which turned out as good, if not better.
Kuro Japanese Steamboat named after its signature offering of kurobuta (black pork) is located behind Starbucks, above the newly named Back Alley No.3 (formerly 3 Stooges).
The quality of the ingredients are great value for money with well-marbled beef, pork and lamb.
Each delicate plate of meat is served chilled and not frozen. Also available are seafood options of dory slices, squid and fish paste.
The side dishes (vegetables, tofu & noodles) were also impressive - the sweet corn and the creamy & fragrant yam stood out for me as well as the fluffy tofupok.
Leafy greens were fresh.
Make your own sauce combination with 5 types of sauces and sauce toppings. The chilli garlic crisp was the most interesting sauce here.
Finishing the meal with Haagen Daez ice-cream was of course the cherry on the cake.
Worth a visit and many more revisits.
