Saw a recommendation for Zok Noodle House and decided to visit the Puchong branch out of curiosity.
I had a basic pork noodles and the meat portion was very generous. The minced meat patty had zero porkiness with a nice hint of sesame oil. The soup is not the garlicky kind but is flavorful and light with a touch of sweetness.
The milky broth pork noodle is the soup style of fish head noodles, a sweet and savory broth with notes of Chinese wine and ginger. I liked this one very much too and almost preferred it over the normal pork noodles.
Surprising was the chilli oil wantan which had plump wantan in a fragrant chilli oil with some vinegar for balance. The sui kow is shaped like a wantan but is a larger one generously stuffed with a mixture of pork and wood ear fungus.
On a separate occasion, I visited the Sunway Pyramid branch. The dishes are charged differently here but the quality of the food is still maintained. I had the wantan mee, a polo bun and a yin yong. Everything was delicious.
Overall very good food with stall prices in a more comfortable char chan teng setting. Do give it a try if you ever come across a branch.
