True to its name, The Bread Bar has bar vibes and long bar counters minus the alcohol but instead serves sandwiches, pastries and coffee.
The foccacia with pesto, ricotta, ham and sundried tomato striked the perfect balance between salt, acidity, creaminess with a hint of green between very toasted slices of foccacia. Even without sides, it was a filling sandwich and a decent portion.
The corned beef sandwich had a smoky beef flavor, again a nice balance of salt, cheese and with the slight acidity of the mustard, was absolutely delicious. And as you can see, it's a really thicc sandwich.
The breads are overall flavorful, a nice bouncy texture though the crusts are typically hard. Don't eat in big bites or risk poking your palette with sharp pokey bread crust.
I loved the almond croissant, the inside filled with a custard, on top, almond flakes and frangipane. Perfectly buttery and flakey, I'd reckon the rest of their laminated pastries would be as good.
Coffee was a dark roast and tasted toasty.
