I have completed the holy trinity of the 3 siblings pork noodles beginning with SS15 Ooi Noodle House followed by Kean Fatt in PJ and lastly Ah Or in Dataran Mentari.
Legend has it that these 3 pork noodle stalls are relatives and highly competitive to the extent they would say the other had died if the customer had the gall to ask. But alas, I've not experienced this myself and in the end, it's all a fun hearsay.
Ah Or Chu Yok Fun has the least amount of hands running the stall, just 2 in total - the stall owner and 1 extra hand.
Despite that, what is presented is a lovely bowl of noodles with silky hor noodles (for the hor fun at least) in a broth that is not as sweet as Kean Fatt's. It is also the least garlicky of the 3 resulting in a clearer broth flavor.
There's a decent amount of pork slices and minced pork which do not have a porky flavor. I could be wrong but Ah Or's seems to be the most expensive per bowl out of the 3. It is also the only one who's open 7 days a week.
Overall, still very enjoyable.
